TR-211 is located 19 miles outside of Cotopaxi sitting just to the East of Copper Gulch Road off 29th Trail in Fremont County, Colorado. This 2.72-acre lot offers spectacular mountain views in almost all directions, defined road access, a nearby cell tower allowing full cell service and access to power is very close by. The property itself is sloped, however there are a few places towards the center of the property, on the crest of the hill, that will allow for tent camping. Building on the lot should present minimal problems. Sadly, this part of the Florida Colorado Acres Subdivision experienced a fire a few years ago. There are damaged trees remaining on the property, most of which have fallen so the property is in need of clearing but actual removal of standing trees is limited, making the property an ideal land-canvas for the new owners required use, including planting of landscaping that can be done as desired.
Take the 19-mile drive to explore Cotopaxi which offers bike, book and geological shops, as well as an assortment of antique shops, trading posts, small hotels and eateries. Local food options range from chuck-wagon dinners to Mexican delicacies. The Arkansas River runs through Cotopaxi and is home to rafting outfitters who is known for world-class whitewater rafting, offering local rafting tours leaving from the small town, lasting anywhere from a few hours to six days. You will face rapids ranging from calm, family-style waters to adrenaline-pumping swells and steep drops near the Royal Gorge. Just south of town is the San Isabel National Forest where visitors can enjoy hiking trails and serene campsites. 28 miles northeast is Canon City which is larger and more populated town offering a Wal-Mart, plethora of restaurants, gas stations and also has a downtown historic district to explore. If fishing is your forte head 16 miles south to Deweese Lake where, in the winter, you can enjoy ice fishing for trout and in the summer this quiet lake is great for recreational watersports such as paddle boarding or kayaking.
